Welcome to Berkshire Farriers – where we cater to all your equine podiatry needs.
Established in 2002 Berkshire Farriers are now one of the UK’s leading equine specialists. With clients ranging from private yards right through to The Olympics, Badminton & The Grand National, our experienced team of qualified farriers are fully equipped with the knowledge and understanding needed to provide the best possible care.
Clients come to us for many reasons. But, in most cases, choosing us distills down to one single word: Trust. Trust in our experience; trust in the solutions we provide and trust in the results we can achieve.
We love what we do; some might say a bit too much. But our understanding of horses means that we never take a one-size-fits-all approach to their care. Put simply, if you’re looking for farriers that care about your horses as much as you do, choose us.
Our founder, Luke Silcock, is fanatical about horses. He has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Luke has competed professionally in The World Championships gaining a top 5 placing becoming one of the leading horse experts in the country.
In 2002, Luke decided to put all his training, passion, knowledge, and experience to work. Inspired by the need for high-quality equine services in the region, Luke set about assembling a team of qualified and passionate individuals. And so it was that Berkshire Farriers was born.
With a growing team of AWCF and DWCF qualified professionals, Berkshire Farriers can cater to a wide range of equine podiatry needs. Many members of the team are home-grown; they came through our very own apprenticeship scheme, which is open to anyone wishing to become a qualified farrier.
Our well-trained farriers travel all over Berkshire and the surrounding areas shoeing, attending to problem horses, or handling nutrition queries. In fact, we have such a diverse range of skills and experience on hand, that we can cater to all disciplines of farriery. Whatever the issue, our experts will take care of it for you.
Berkshire Farriers have worked on horses that have competed in some of the most prestigious equestrian events in the world.
