Berkshire Farriers Latest Case Study

Berkshire Farriers’ latest case study was a native pony who had an abscess which had been on going and not resolved.  It had under-run the sole and erupted through the coronet band, making the foot unstable.  The Vet was called and they removed all the necrotic tissue.  Berkshire Farriers were called in after consultation with the Vet and applied a heart bar shoe to relieve the pressure in the foot and to equalise load on the frog.  The pony is  now well on its way to a full recovery with no further issues.
